On every one of our tours, you drive a 2026 Can-Am Maverick R X RC: 240 hp Rotax 999T Turbo engine, 7-speed DCT transmission, Smart-Lok traction, FOX shocks and 35-inch tires. You are behind the wheel for 3 to 9 days depending on the tour, on the trails of the Dominican Republic, with a briefing, a driving ability check and guiding by our guide driver, a three-time European GT3 champion.

You are taking the wheel of an exceptional side-by-side. The 2026 Can-Am Maverick R X RC combines spectacular power, a highly advanced transmission, traction built for tough sections and a cockpit worthy of a competition machine.
In the Dominican Republic, each vehicle imported, equipped and prepared for RAID CARAIBES SSV represents an investment of more than 100,000 USD depending on its configuration. That figure reflects the level of technology, chassis, suspension, protection and equipment placed in the driver's hands during the tour.

Behind the wheel
Engine and transmission
The Rotax 999T Turbo puts out 240 hp. Its response gives the driver an immediate reserve of power to pick the machine back up, power out of a corner or keep a smooth rhythm on an open trail.
The 7-speed DCT replaces the hesitant feel of a typical tourist transmission with crisp shifts and continuous acceleration. High and Extra Low ranges suit fast sections as well as slow, technical crossings.
Traction and suspension
Smart-Lok lets you manage traction to suit the terrain, notably with Rock mode. The 35-inch tires and 18 inches of ground clearance let you clear obstacles that a leisure buggy would tackle with far less margin.
With 25 inches of travel up front and 26 at the rear, the suspension, FOX shocks and wide chassis soak up impacts, limit unwanted movement and help the driver hold a clean line.
Premium cockpit
The 10.25-inch touchscreen, front and rear cameras, telescopic steering wheel, infotainment controls and digital gauges put the information that matters right in front of the driver. A hard roof, four-point harnesses, premium half doors, LED lighting and a JL Audio sound system complete the package.
Protection
A full heavy-duty skid plate, rock sliders, suspension arm guards, bumpers, an intrusion bar, four-point harnesses and a 4,500 lb winch are among the highlights of the X RC package.

A few-hour ride leaves little time to understand a machine. Over a multi-day tour, you have time to feel the chassis, the transmission and the traction, terrain after terrain, at a pace that builds day by day.

Preparation and guiding
Before every departure, the team checks and prepares the machines. Drivers receive a full briefing, take a driving ability check and progress within a guided group. Helmets and protective gear are mandatory, and the pace is matched to the terrain and to the group's level.
Never driven a side-by-side? You can still join: drivers must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver's license and pass the driving ability check on arrival.
